Our Values
Worship
We are God's creation, created for his glory and set apart as his holy people called to worship, serve, and glorify God in all we do both individually and collectively.
Study
We learn to follow Christ daily through real connection to the Bible. We cling to the fact that it is God's word, breathed by him, wholly true, and worthy of our study, contemplation, and meditation. It is central to our understanding of what goes on around us. And in it's pages we discover Jesus.
Prayer
Our relationship with God is real and through prayer we experience this reality. As we pray individually and together we tune our thoughts and hearts to God's thoughts and heart.
Community
God puts us together for a purpose. It is our duty to understand how our skills and experiences are uniquely and miraculously placed together for this. As we do life together, loving one another, forgiving one another, caring for each other, bearing each other’s burdens, sharing in each other’s joys, confessing our sins, praying for each other and encouraging each other to a life of love and good works, we demonstrate that we are the body of Christ.
Evangelism
We exist to glorify God so we seek the ever-increasing recognition and expression of God's glory in the world around us. Therefore we proclaim the Gospel in the community around us inviting them join us in giving God glory.
Generosity
God is with the poor and needy. As we seek to find more partners in glorifying God we are compelled to go out to the poor in spirit, and the needy in material things. God calls us to go to the fallen, the downtrodden, the widow, the orphan. We are to care for them holistically and spiritually.
Partnership
We recognize the value of partnership and work together with other churches and ministries both in Grenoble and elsewhere.
We depend on the Holy Spirit
We recognize that all that is around us is not necessarily visible. Creation exists in the seen and the unseen, and we seek to perceive the working of the Holy Spirit within us as individuals, and as a collective group.
Unity in Diversity
Unity is found in Jesus Christ and the common life we have in him, as we commit ourselves to knowing Christ our unity will grow. We recognize that there is diversity among Christians in non-essential areas. We do not press for uniformity in these areas, but rather encourage people to search the Scriptures, seeking balance, mutual understanding, humility and love. We seek to respect each others differences without a quarrelsome, arrogant or divisive spirit, and to return continually to the great commandment, to love God and one another. This attitude does not preclude teaching all of the Bible and applying God's truth within the life of our community.
Equality
We recognize that each person has been created with equal value. While we may differ in our giftings, we recognize that all believers are called to minster and be an active member of the body of Christ.
